Looking to share experiences with pissed clients of WWB / Paul Brown / Blacktower.

Guest

Hi,

Anyone know how to get WWB to pay up when they lose a case of misselling? I have friend who went through the regulator in Holland and got a judgement against them, they appealed and they lost that but still won't pay up.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Downtown Paul Brown.....back at it again.

I just came across this and have to say that Blacktower has made me money over the last 2 years. If you are expecting to get rich over night then you do not understand the financial industry.

I highly recommend working with Peter Button.

He specializes in this and was able to make me a good amount of money by moving my pension out of the UK. I have met Luke Hunt as well as Paul Brown and know as a fact that the compliance they must follow just to get a deal is so tough that they do everything to the T.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank my client for writing a positive comment about my professional services.

It is through clients such as yourself that I continue to strive for the highest levels of services and continued professionalism.

Please would this client send me an e-mail so that I can personally thank them for their positive recommendation.

For all those who are unhappy with the service they have received, I find this unfortunate.

Blacktower is the most reputable company in the industry due to our vigorous compliance procedures and strict protocols implemented through our regulators. Please get in touch if you have had an unfortunate experience with us, we will endeavour to rectify these issues and restore the faith in our organisation.

Do you work for these con men ?

Guest

I also have had a very bad experience with these sales men, because that is what they are. They are selling products from Zurich, Old Mutual, RL: who on the face of it are well-known large companies.

The problem is signing up to paying huge fees and charges (eg4-6% which is outrageous), further they all have an ICP (initial contribution period) of 18 months - so basically kiss goodbye to the first 18 months of contribs. These large insurance companies pay huge amounts of commission to Blacktower when consumers sign up. It is in their interest to keep you there with them.

If I compare fees and charge, on an EFT account, typically you pay around 0.5% fees and charges. Just inform yourselves people, the advisors at Blacktower are not going to be open about these fees.

Could not agree with you more.

Further to my previous post, I would like to confirm that the situation has now been amicably settled and that no further grievance exists with either Paul Brown, World Wide Broker or Blacktower. Legal action is no longer pending and the matter has been fully resolved.

I have also had a very bad experience with this company, I was approached by Luke Forrest of (then) World Wide Broker to provide marketing services, introduced to Paul Brown and met them at their offices in Holland - received continuous praise for my work, invoice payments slowed down and received almost every excuse under the sun, until almost ยฃ6,000 was owing, they pulled the plug and more recently have ignored my attempts to contact them. Needless to say, court action is commencing shortly now that all evidence is in place... be vary wary when dealing with these people!

My name is rob baker I'm not anonymous. I will be posting my story shortly on these unprofessional people . Trust me it will open your eyes to NOT trust Paul brown of world wide brokers and my email address will also be posted for others in the same situation to join together to stop others being ripped off.

It is now 2017 I put a post on here may 2015 and was immediately contacted by Paul Brown he has since flown in to alicante in Spain twice now to meet with me to discuss my case of miss selling & miss guided advice , I have spoken in the past to John Westwood MD of Blacktower who has assured me Paul Brown group director of blackTower would resolve my case . I am amazed after two years to receive a text from Paul Brown asking me what is the problem?

This begs belief!!

Paul Brown group director of black tower has caused me & my family much distress .

I have tried your work with him over the last two years to resolve this situation & being fobbed off with excuse after excuse, He has made payments through his other company WWB & now has hit a brick wall I find this difficult and confusing to get so far and now at a standstill

Were the communication has broken down

Why ???

We are lawyers in Amsterdam who took legal action against Mr. Brown/WWB on behalf of a client.

We are interested to learn of other creditors of Brown/WWB (now January 2017). We may be contacted at

This company should not be trusted, they've advised me nothing but trouble read: suspended funds. Luckily I didn't fell for their trap.

They claim to know the market, however they're just thieves waiting to pocket commissions on hard earned money! my advise: STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!!

The main problem with websites such as Pissed Consumer is that they are not reviewed by moderators, so an "anonymous" person can make slanderous remarks about an individual and/or company without providing any factual information or revealing who they are.

The Pissed Consumer website is supposed to be a sounding board for consumers to air their grievances. However, we are well aware that the person that has made this post is NOT a consumer; it is a one person recruitment business that provided inadequate services to our firm for a short period and they were paid accordingly.

Unfortunately, this person - who has a history of attacking organizations through this sort of online slander - has now decided to target us. We will not get drawn in to a public online spat, instead we will be dealing with this via our group solicitor.

That said, in light of the comments and accusations made above, we feel that we need to counter some of the statements made;

All WorldWideBroker advisers are fully qualified to provide professional advice in the markets in which we operate, and the company is licensed to operate in all markets where we have been granted passporting approval. We strive to look after our customers well and as a group we experience very little negative feedback, both internally and on the internet which can be seen by all.

We also question the authenticity of โ€œneilsโ€ comment to this post;

Firstly, "These fly by nights" are licensed and have been operating in Holland since 1991.

This makes us the longest standing international advisory practise in the Netherlands in that all the other brokers that have had a presence here over the years have left for one reason or another. Secondly, we find it odd that โ€œneilsโ€ is stating to โ€œstay away from Black towerโ€ as this company has never operated in The Netherlands. Furthermore, we have a very clear and fully explained complaints procedure as required by our regulator, however we can find no internal record of any complaints from โ€œneilsโ€ in our office. We therefore find it odd that this person has chosen to air his views on a public website instead of getting in touch with us to help him with his grievances.

If however โ€œneilsโ€ is indeed a client that is not happy with the service they have received from our company, then we would ask him to contact Luke David Hunt (Branch Manager - Netherlands) as soon as possible to discuss his concerns in person. Rest assured we will do our utmost to handle his complaint to his satisfaction.

I was also fleeced by these fly by nights in Holland - nothing more than scam artists. Sold me insurance I didnt need and lost all my money in frozen funds.

STAY AWAY FROM BLACKTOWER they are a scam full of unethical thieves. PAUL BROWN should never be allowed to operate as an adviser as they have ruined my childrens lives through their lies.

You have kids and you don't need insurance?! That doesn't make sense.

What kind of insurance did you not need?
